Bringing a social element to perp and spot trading
How I took a traditional trading platform, and turned it into a social experience.
There were several big moments with this project … 1. Getting to see what your friends, and whales were trading. 2. Getting to build trading agents based on social graph activity. 3. Getting to partner up with other traders via squads, and even battle other squads.
it started with automation & intelligence
The first thing to tackle was taking traditional trading, and adding AI to it. The ideal customer wasn't the "day-trader" but the casual newcomer that can feel empowered by AI.
So I designed a system where each asset came with a recommended position based on your portfolio, trading history, and market sentiment.
I also rethought the concept of the order book, where instead of showing a barrage of movement it became a sound wave of sentiment.

The next opportunity was to add other user activity to the asset, including agentic behavior. Not gate keeping agent theses, but exposing it so that everyone can benefit.
Not only could you see the activity, but you could follow other customers and agents, and even mimic them (for a fee). This opened up a wonderful social graph element.

Now that the social aspect is in full swing, the next opportunity is to take it to the next level.
Not only can you follow, and mimic your faves but you can squad up with them. As an added bonus you can also battle other squads. Pick your perfect roster of agents and go head to head for predetermined point boosts and earn a place on the leaderboard.

As I'm writing this, it is currently in alpha testing. Assuming all goes well I'll have some meaningful metrics to report.
